SWE Member Survey-- $50 Amazon Gift Card Drawing
It’s not too late to participate! All entries submitted by 6 PM Wednesday are eligible to win a $50 Amazon Gift Card. Winner announced at SWE Meeting, attendance not required, but encouraged.
Cal Poly SWE is under construction and we need YOUR HELP to improve our section. Why are you a SWE member? What interests you about SWE? What can we do to make your SWExperience even better? Let us know, and we'll do our best to make Cal Poly SWE even better than before!
SWE General Meeting: Cookie Decorating!
Best Decorated Cookies Receive a Prize!
It's the end of the quarter and stress levels are soaring! What better way to relax than attend a SWE meeting and eat cookies!?! Stop by the SWE General Meeting Wednesday, November 30th 6-7 pm in Bonderson Room 104 to decorate cookies, relax from finals, and enjoy some holiday fun (all cookie decorating supplies provided by SWE)... Besides, who doesn't like eating cookies!?! The three most awesomely decorated cookies will be rewarded-- $5 to the Cal Poly book store!

Google Tour
Friday, Jan 27th (tentative)

Mountain View
SWE will be touring the Google campus in Mountain View, CA. The tour is tentatively set for Friday, January 27th. Please be aware that the tour, including travel, will take up the whole day. SWE does not have the authority to excuse you from any obligation you miss while on this tour. To get your name on the interest list, please email Kelli De Vlugt, kdevlugt@calpoly.edu. Preference may be given to EE/CPE/CSC/SE majors and people who volunteer to drive.
SWE Sweatshirts!
Have you seen the new SWE Sweatshirts? Interested in ordering one? Depending on how many people express interests, SWE sweatshirts could be $50, $40, or $30… Email Ashley Parry amparry@calpoly.edu if you are interested in ordering a sweatshirt. Final order will be made at the first meeting of Winter Quarter, so be sure and email Ashley ASAP!
SLO Children’s Museum
SWE is working with the Children’s Museum to host monthly activities for 1-2 hours. This program will be starting Winter Quarter, if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity or join the brainstorm team please email Maiya Bourland at maiyabourland@gmail.com.
SWE Scholarships
Members can apply for scholarships that will be presented at EWI. Deadlines to apply for them are as soon as December 1st! Check the SWE website for more details. Email Stasia Newark at anewark@calpoly.edu with any questions.
Engineering Student Scholarship
I wanted to make you aware of a current scholarship being offered by AfterCollege, Inc. The award is $500 and is offered to any student pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in a science discipline.Details and the short online application here: AfterCollege Engineering Student Scholarship

Come enjoy a night of FREE bowling & pizza! SWE, IEEE, PES, ACM, and CPES invite their club members to take a break from studying and join in on the fun. We have Mustang Lanes reserved from 7-9pm, on Wednesday, Nov. 30th, immediately following the SWE Cookie Social.
